I guess you can call it a lucky day....
As usual, I was a little late in waking up and getting ready. The only difference was that I actually got a seat on the train! Yup, yours truly didn't have to stand for the journey. It was a first time since I started work in Dec last year.
Lunch was great too. Though we didn't get a seat at Mos burger, we did have a contingent plan of "dining" by the river. It was a great day - no rain, a little windy and not too much of a sunshine. And we managed to get a shady bench without waiting. Good timing I must say as a couple was getting up just as we approached.
Lunch was marred by a little incident. A monk came up to me and gave me a prayer card. I took it not knowing that I had to "pay" for it. Finally got the hint of donation and unfortunately I didn't have any small change, so I dropped a $10 note. Well, it's for a good cause, I hope!
It's a lazy friday at the office as the bosses were not around. So we had coffee. chit chat sessions. Quite relaxing.
I was planning to stay late, but moved on when I realised everyone's gone by 6.30pm! On my way to the station, I was attracted by some noise and took a longer way just to find out what's happening. Bumped into my lunchmate. Both of us didn't know what to do till our next appointment. So in a moment of fun, we decided to take part in the Fitness First lucky draw (that's what the noise was about). Dropped our names, took a seat on the ledge and waited.
Surprise surprise, my name was called! So I've promptly won myself a 1 year fitness first plus passport membership. Not too bad except that I'm not a gym person. Would probably pass it to Len. Or my lunchmate.
Went to Tangs to further "waste" my time. Was quite lucky to get a cab just when I stepped onto Hyatt hotel. Didn't expect one! So I was early for dinner.
Lost our way to British Club which is in some ulu place in Singapore. Food was so so though and that was a little low point today. Company was okie. Saw another side of Len's brother.
Managed to get a cab back easily. Quite a nice driver and we had a good chat as well.
So that's my day. And since it's quite a good day, I should document it down :)
