(no subject)
I had two beautiful, beautiful surprises that served to make my birthday an amazing day to remember.
First, my sister had requested a friend to write a PoT fanfic featuring my favourite pairing... so I was in happy anticipation all day long, just waiting to get home from work so I could read it. I've just read it and it's lovely and cuddly and I'm just happily basking in the glow of the fic, so to speak. I'm also completely overwhelmed by the fact that my sister's friend actually wrote something like that... I mean, we aren't acquainted, and to do that is just amazing. ^_____________^
Second, on the way home today, I met an old friend whom I hadn't seen or spoken to in years! I was just sitting there, about to nod off on the train, when I looked up and absently examined the jawline of the woman standing nearest me. I thought, Hmm, that looks familiar, and you know how one traces the shape of the jawlines of faces in your mind? Oh, that mole just there reminds me of... I suddenly realised who it might be, and although I couldn't see her full face, I thought that from the profile it might just be my old friend! So I took a risk and called her name. XD I'm very glad I did. And we chatted and laughed, and she expressed horror that our peers were marrying at our age, and then we were like: "We're only [delete exact age]!" Then we paused: "Hey, happy birthday!" --We were born just a month apart, you see! ^________________________^
... so it's been a good day. Zizi's stressed, though, Sil's internet appears to be acting up, and Tenko's "sent" me a sea cucumber by phone sms whilst wishing me a jolly birthday...
