Sian woke up from the blazing sun shining in her face. "Uurrgghhh" she groaned as she sat up in her bed feeling slightly light headed from not sleeping enough. Sian got up, out of bed dressed in her tweety pj's and walked out of her bedroom into rileys room.
Sian leant against the door frame as she watched her daughter sleep peacefully. Sian knew that she never should have said any of that stuff to sophie, she knew that she was doing the wrong thing by taking riley away from sophie but sian knew that something was going on, she didnt know if it was good or bad but she knew something was going on with sophie and she was determined to find out one way or another.
Sian made her way downstairs where it was silent, it had always been like this since the divorce. When she and sophie were together she would always smell something good cooking because sophie cooked her breakfast every morning....without fail.
Sian smiled at the memories. She walked over into the kitchen and flicked the kettle on, examining the bills that she could easily pay but couldnt be bothered. Sian leant her back against the counter and was just in deep thought, thinking about her daughter, life and sophie.
Sian was rudely interrupted from her deep thought by her phone ringing. Sian walked over to the phone and saw the name mike flash across the screen. Sian rolled her eyes and reluctantly answered the phone. "Hello?" She spoke in a breathless tone.
"Hey sian! How are you?!" Mike asked sian in a bubbly tone, "im fine thanks" sian answered as she finished making her brew. "Well good! So i was wondering if you wanted to go out for dinner tonight you know like a date?" He asked casually as sian sighed quietly down the phone. Maybe i should tell him im gay? Sian thought with smirk.
"Eerrmmm the thing is mike, your a really nice guy but im on the other 'team' if you catch my drift?" sian smirked down the phone. "Oh...so you mean your gay? Then?" Mike asked unsure and sian grinned. "Yeah actually i am" she smiled, "well there must be a very special woman out there who can win your heart, if i cant!" he chuckled and so did i as i thought of one person in particular.
"Yeh there must be, and sorry about not telling you at the start" sian apologised, "aahhh sian dont worry bout it, even though i know i cant win your heart...let me at least buy you a drink sometime and you know just chill, how does that sound?" He asked politely and sian smiled, "that'd be great, ok i gotta go but talk to you soon yeh" sian smiled.
"Yes definitely ok cya sian" he finished "bye mike!" sian chuckled as she ended the call, throwing her phone on the couch
She saw her daughter coming down the stairs in her nemo pyjamas. "Morning babe" sian greeted her daughter giving her a kiss on the head. "Morning mum" she greeted as she hugged her mother. "Do you want some breakfast honey?" Sian asked with a bright smile on her face, riley nodded "coco pops!" She yelled happily making sian laugh.
"Ok missy have a seat at the table and i'll grab you your breakfast!" sian spoke happily as she bounced back into the kitchen getting the stuff for riley. "Mum can i ask you something?" Riley questioned as sian nodded. "Yeh shoot!" She smiled and riley gulped "do you still love mummy?" Riley asked cautiously making sian hault in her tracks.
She so was not expecting that question. "Eerrrmm well...i errmmm...." I sian stuttered. "I love her....but as a friend" sian lied as she poured the coco pops into a bowl for riley. "Ohh ok" riley mumbled as she started twiddling with her thumbs and sian took a sip of her brew. "did you know mum has a tattoo?" Riley asked and sian spat the brew that was in her mouth into the sink, shocked.
"What?!?!" She asked shocked as she turned around to face riley. "How do you know!?" Sian asked curiously as she handed riley her coco pops, "she showed me and its really....nice" riley smiled genuinely as she started eating her coco pops. "Your mum hates tattoos...she always has?" Sian said confused as riley smiled, "well she really loves this one.....literally" riley mumbled the last part as she took a mouth full of the little chocolate bits.
"What is it of?" Sian asked curiously, riley smirked and shook her head "i cant tell you, you have to see for yourself" riley grinned cheekily as sian pouted her lips.
" Please can you just tell me?" Sian pleaded and riley shook her head, "nope! You gotta see it for yourself!" riley finished as she got up out of her chair and placed her bowl in the sink.
Ok mum im gonna go get ready for school riley sung as she ran upstairs, leaving sian in her thoughts. Sophie? With a tattoo!?....no way! I mean what would she want permanently on her body for the rest of her life? Sian thought, now thinking as she finished the rest of her brew and went upstairs to get ready for work.
