Sophie walked back into her lonely house with abbey her ownly company...her best friend. Riley was back at sians for another week and sophie let another day pass-by. She put her crutches down, now able to stand on her legs that were aching this morning but arent anymore. Sophie was basically walking like a zombie into the kitchen, she was crying while she was on her way home and still was, her eyes were red and puffy and she felt overwhelmed and very lethargic.
She grabbed a pen from the kitchen table and walked over to her calendar, putting a cross on todays date. "Where does the time go?" She sighed as she flicked the calendar 4 months ahead to september and there was another red cross on the 16th....a bigger one. Sophie let even more tears escape her eyes as she looked at the date.
4 months. Thats all she had left, it started of as 12 months and now sophie was down to 4. Her body couldnt fight it anymore, it was too strong and she could feel it, not only was she losing her daughter, she was losing her life. Sophie closed her eyes, letting her mind flash through the happy memories that kept her strong all this time.
Flashback
"I do" sian smiled as she gazed lovingly into sophies eyes as she slipped the ring perfectly on sians finger. They both looked at the marriage celebrant who grinned and shut his book. "You may now kiss your bride" he smiled as sophie and sian locked lips instantly. The guests went crazy! "Woooooooo you go godbotherer!" She yelled out clapping her hands, earning a smile and a giggle from sophie. Rosie grinned happy to see her sister happy. Sian gazed into sophies eyes now resting their foreheads together, "i love you, that will never change" sian promised and sophie grinned. "I love you too and that definitely wont ever change!" Sophie giggled and she pressed her lips gently against sians.
Flash
"Baby you did it, its over now" sophie spoke softly as she caressed her wifes cheek, kissing her on the forehead as the nurse came in holding the little webster. Sian grinned as she sat up in the hospital bed, the nurse spoke as she handed the baby over to sian. "She is beautiful" the nurse commented and sophie and sian grinned "yeh she is....thank you doctor" sophie thanked as the woman smiled and made her way out of the ward.
"Hey you" sian rocked her baby gently, "she looks just like you" sophie observed and sian gazed up at her wife, capturing her lips and then breaking apart. "Thank you for being beside me through everything soph" sian thanked sophie smiling and sophie smiled "always" she whispered as she captured sian lips and then pulled apart gazing upon their new born baby. "Hello Riley Webster" sophie amiled taking hold of her daughters little hand.
Flashback over
Sophie slowly walked back hitting the wall and slowly slid down it. She brought her knees to her chest and held them tight, slowly giving in and letting herself cry uncontrollably. No one knows, not even sian, rosie or her parents....no one, except abbey. Sophie knew that she would never get to see her daughter grow up into a beautiful woman, wasnt going to see her get married and deep down she knew her and sian would never get back together.
She knew sian was still aching from the seperation she could tell, she knew that sian would never let her guard down. Instead of crying and being upset sian would be angry and furious just like today on the phone. The divorce wasnt one sided, they were both workaholics, always putting work first before the family, arguing, riley was only a baby and she needed to be taken care of, the drunken fights and then the divorce.
Abbey slowly walked over to sophie and sat infront of her, resting her body against sophies legs. This is why she couldnt cook for riley or feed her proper meals, she struggled to work and she found it impossible to clean the house (she'd have to hire someone) This is a time where....she needed her family....she needed sian. Sophie continued crying silently.
