Lang Zi says, "Every pack is first a litter." He also says, "Who eat meat first drink milk."
I returned to my home prefecture for Mother's Day - there is an equivalent festival in Zheng Fa later in the year so normally I wouldn't bother, but this year there's going to be a scheduling conflict and I won't be able to return then.
A lot of westerners won't really understand the relationship we have with our mothers in Zheng Fa, so I won't elaborate on it. We have a common understanding of what is given to us by our mothers, and that's probably enough.
My mother likes chocolate, though she cannot have it very often in our prefecture, so I brought her a box of Cohdopia's finest. She likes them very much, particularly the hazelnut filling.
To all the boys still in the states: call your mothers! Even if they do not celebrate Mother's Day in your homeland, call your mothers. They need to hear from you, and I will cover the bill. If your mother has been lost to you, then pay your respects in whatever way you can.
I will return to Los Angeles in a day or so.
