More Office love and post-Christmas observation

Another great epi of The Office....a lower key Office last night. I don't know whether to hate or like Pam for stringing Jim along with all of her pert messages at the end basically saying she missed him. I'm kind of glad that she went on vacation with her betrothed and them being all touchy-feely to make it a little more angsty. And Kelly. Again, poor Jim. I want Jim to win at life for once!

I forgot to apologize to the f-listers I would send Christmas cards to and then did not do a damn thing. We all posted our Christmas wish lists then I said "well, we should at least exchange cards" and I didn't even do that. I apologize and am embarrassed I did nothing (speaking of apologies, did you all see Oprah last night with that James Frey dude? I love Oprah for risking her arse like that). But as a furthering of the Christmas card thing, we got back from Palm Springs last week and I saw that I had received a card from someone from Trinidad/Tobago. I had no idea who this was--Tessa I think?--then I realized I was on a Christmas card list from last year at the Snitch where they do that sort of thing, even though you may not know one another very well. It was the nicest, handwritten card I got this year...and it made me feel even worse for not sending cards to my lj/HP universe friends. I was impressed by this card even more since this relative stranger wrote more in her card than friends I have had for 20 years. Everyone just either signs their names or just writes a sentence without meaning. When I send a card, I at least write something. I don't know, it was kind of depressing, the cards I got this year. Except for Tessa's. Thanks Tessa, you personify the holiday spirit, if even a couple of weeks late. In fact, it was better that way, kind of spread it out a little.

christmas, christmas cards, the office, friends, holidays
