today the presbyterians have invited me for ice cream. i'm supposed to tell them about the shelter. the baptists give me lots of money. the
i think not. penticostals shower us in home cooked meals and bars of soap and toothbrushes, all with bible verses attached and prayer cards and the like. i know i should be grateful. i know this is part of it. but i'm just so tired of being surrounded by human beings who have no identity other than the one outlined in their dry-rotting church doctrine. and i can't help but think any god looking on is bored with them, too.
