OMG SO AWESOME EVERYONE GO SEE IT.
Also? My fellow Norringtonians? How right were we all along?
In no particular order...
Again, Norrington absolutely ROCKS. I was thrilled thrilled thrilled that he figured out about the heart.
But I was also wincing when Jack started mocking Davy Jones. Oops...
I could have really done without the introduction of the love triangle.
And on that note, Will is such a good man. His heart broke and he hates Elizabeth and he hates Jack, and as soon as he sees her crying, he says that if there was any way he could bring Jack back... ::melts::
Jack was so...Jack. Loved it!
I loved all the shout outs to the first movie (and the fans?) "Why is the rum always gone?" "Pirates." There are others, but I'll have to see the movie again to remember them. OH DARN.
The rest of the supporting cast was fantastic as well. Cotton's parrot, Mr. Gibb, and especially Pintel and Ragetti (although I had to look up their names on IMDb; they were just "those two pirates" to me and "Crazy-Eye and his friend" to my sister before). "'Kraken' with a long 'a'?" "He's working out issues in regards to his twice-cursed father."
The beach fight scene. That was perfection from start to finish.
Will is not the spitting image of his father, I have to say. I don't see any resemblance at all, actually.
This is so "The Empire Strikes Back." But I like "The Empire Strikes Back" very much, so that's a compliment.
OMG Barbossa! I love it I love it I love it!
Random thoughts are of course always welcome.
