Irina and Lauren
Note: I'm not an Irina fan. I'm not an Irina hater. I'm just "Eh" about her.
So, anyway, the point: Why is it that we're supposed to like Irina yet hate Lauren? They did the same thing. And (though I haven't seen season 5 yet), as I understand it, it turns out Irina wasn't redeemed at all, so she's even worse than Lauren, IMAO. Is it just because Lena Olin is OMG so cool?
ETA: And if it's not clear, I'm not trying to be snide. I'm genuinely curious. Because Irina never really appealed to me, her betrayal being the primary reason. And we're not supposed to like Lauren...well, for Being In The Way of our Syd/Vaughn, but also because she's Evil, right?
