Goodbye, cruel world! Well, maybe not that cruel. In fact, you're pretty nice. World, would you marry me? Damn, I should have worn cologne. Wait, am I going crazy or is it midnight and I'm tired? Probably the second. Anyway, the whole "goodbye" thing was because I'm leaving tomorrow for Camp Alonim for 8 weeks. Please write! Or call my cell (which I'm not allowed to have, but what the hell?)! I wrote the address in an earlier post, but this way you won't have to look it up:
Aaron Alpert, CIT
c/o Camp Alonim
1101 Peppertree Lane
Brandeis, CA 93064
And my cell is (818) 687-9717. I won't have it on most of the time, but you can leave a voicemail msg.
Well, I've been doing nothing constructive at home (including my summer assignments for history and English... grrr.) But I've seen a lot of movies and shows. I saw Shrek 2. What a freakin' hillarious movie! It's really good, anti-Disney fun. And, Antonio Banderas, Julie Andrews, Rupert Everett, and John Cleese are doing some of the new voices. Go see it. Now. Why are you still sitting there. If you're reading this, you haven't left yet... OK, so you're back. Did ya like it? Cool. I saw a pro Comedy Sportz game on Friday. And a U-sical. It was great! Wow! They rock! Anyway, lots of fun and "oscilloscopes" and "clubs." At U-sical, Ally A., Jama, and Kaley were there. They even used Kaley's story, which was about her bf leaving for NY the same day she had her wisdom teeth out, which was the day before. She was still slightly drugged up on painkillers from the dentist, so she was very funny because was acting stupid. Kaley acting stupid... only drugs could do it. Anyway, it was very funny, especially when Ms. Tomjonavic got plastered.
Saturday was Cabaret! What a great show with a ton of energy. It was a bit odd seeing Alysse and Sara (Kelly wasn't there) wearing whore clothes. It was like Les Mis, except with less clothes, and Alysse didn't die. Before the show, the Kit Kat girls came around to people and... uhmm... groped them. Monica would have been proud. Sara harassed my family!!! Yay! They were very amused. The show was excellent, and cuz I hadn't seen it before (live or the movie), it was a bit surprising and shocking. Like the number when the MC danced with the gorrilla and pulled her mask off to reveal a giant nose. The last line was something like, "If you could see her through my eyes, she wouldn't even look like a Jew!" Great show, but scary. And "Tomorrow Belongs to Me." What a pretty song, until you see that "Me" is the Nazis.
Fathers' Day: Brunch at the Hyatt Hotel. My god, so much food. I stuffed myself. I ate nothing else all day, not even a little snack. Wow! Good food. Must go to gym for 5 hours. Wait, I'm going to camp. Must hike 8 miles carrying 3 small children.
I will miss you all a lot over the summer, especially those of you who I won't get to see next year. Keep in touch. And Sam, once you get your damn computer up, hello and goodbye!
