hp_mhealthfest (*clings to OTP like woah*), but what I can do is pimp this fest!
So, I present, a list of the fics and artses posted thus far and the mental health issue explored. I know the phrase 'mental health' can be off putting - but do head over and check them out if you feel so inclined!
Situation Normal: All Fucked Up (Fic, R, ~7,500 words)
Pairing: Harry/Draco.
Mental Health Issue: Anxiety disorder (OCD).
Summary: Draco figures it's not paranoia if they're really out to get him.
Protecting Harry (Fic, PG, ~3,900 words)
Pairing: Harry/Snape.
Mental Health Issue: Orthorexia Nervosa.
Summary: Harry doesn’t have an issues with eating. No really, he doesn’t.
Meta (Fic, PG13, ~3,289 words)
Pairing: Remus/Tonks.
Mental Health Issue: Dissociative Identity Disorder.
Summary: A record of sickness and healing, from one generation to the next.
Perspectives (Fic, PG, ~5,000 words)
Pairing: Hugo/Scorpius.
Mental Health Issue: Borderline Personality Disorder.
Summary: Sometimes a disorder is more difficult for the people around than for the person that has it.
Purity Of Body (Fic/Art, PG13, ~200 words)
Character: Draco.
Mental Health Issue: Orthorexia Nervosa.
Summary: Ancestral tradition dictates purity of blood, purity of body and purity of mind, and only by eating the most flawless, untainted food is the boon bestowed: undiluted magic.
Best Forgotten (Fic, R, ~18,500 words)
Characters: Harry, Snape, Lucius.
Mental Health Issue: Dissociative Identity Disorder.
Summary: EWE, but otherwise canon compliant up to DH. It's several years after the war, and the Dark Lord is defeated. Harry is suffering from a mental illness that makes him vulnerable, and Lucius Malfoy has a secret. A thought-dead Snape resurfaces to try to help Harry, but Snape has secrets of his own.
Shuffling Out Of Hell (Fic, NC17, ~23,500 words)
Pairing: Harry/Draco friendship and preslash.
Mental Health Issue: Depression. PTSD. Substance Abuse.
Summary: A letter from Narcissa gets Harry thrown into Draco’s life in a way he could never have imagined.
Crack The Shutters (Art, R)
Pairing: Draco, side Harry/Draco.
Mental Health Issue: Agoraphopia, PTSD, Anxiety/panic disorder, depression.
Summary: After the war, no one is the same, least of all Draco.
