Dream a Little Dream

In real life, right before going to bed last night I had the Disney Millennial song "Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand," so maybe that is what brought this dream on.

The dream had two elements to it that often feature in my dreams; a secluded bay which I glide over and am able to see the sea creatures in the clear water, mostly sharks and large fish (but never dolphins), and a grand building which is like a city in a hotel. Except this time the city/hotel was futuristic and had fast moving elevators. To leave the hotel, one had to take a flying machine as transport; there was no walking out of the hotel because 'the powers that be' did not want anyone unacceptable getting in. It seemed these leaders were against primitive ways of life--living in village communities and agriculture. There were restaurants to visit outside the hotel for those that wanted more exotic foods--that was acceptable.

I don't know why I was in this hotel, I only know I was trying to get off it so I could get information out to the general public about what really went on within. I ran down stair wells, lost the guards following me on fast elevators and then switched floors to loose them. I was trying to get to the third floor where the cars of the elevators for the elite class were also transport to the outside world (some sort of flying machine). When I found one, a long haired, gangly woman (think intelligent yet awkward like Amy Ferra Fowler) was getting in and I commandeered it with her--at her protest. Btu when I stated it was a matter of life and death for the people, she was the one who pressed the button to eject the car from the elevator shaft. She must have seen the honest  desperation in my eyes. I was allowed to steer the flying machine and took it to a restaurant where my comrades were eating outside in their own vehicle. Seeing me, they knew that our cover had been blown and they quickly prepared to leave.

Like in the game I like to play, Farmville 2, cultivating crops doesn't take much time any more and one of my comrades did not want to leave his crop along the water's edge of rice when he was so close to harvesting it, but at seeing the coming guards, he had no choice but to leave it behind.
