On Sunday, after we got home from Vegas, Cass mentioned that we had money left over. She suggested we buy His and Hers Heart Rate Monitors. I have never ridden with one before, but thought it would be a good way to track progress and enforce a pace on myself. My buddy and I decided to ride early today, so we met at Claremont Hills Wilderness Park at 7:15am, only to find that it was closed "due to extreme fire danger". We went to the next town over and hit up Marshall Canyon. After a bit of a late start, we were off. Right away, I think maybe 5 minutes into the ride, my alarm started going off. This is probably due to the fact that I haven't calibrated the "Own Zone" feature, and it was going off on the Age-Based normal heart rate.
Summary:
1:44 minute ride
1707 Calories burned, 40% of which were fat calories
40 minutes in the "Zone"
And I wasn't *that* tired, I guess I need to have some major lunch today :)
