I've been job hunting for just over a month now BECAUSE I'M SO FUCKING BROKE I MIGHT AS WELL MOVE TO A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY WHERE AT LEAST IT WOULD BE NORMAL TO BE THIS BROKE, and I haven't gotten any call backs or anything (damn this recession! WHEN WIL THE INSANITY END?!) and it's frustrating. I've applied for jobs that are seriously below my skill level, but that is apparently my undoing. They're giving all these menial jobs to the snotty nosed high school kids who don't even know what sort of broke ass-ness lies ahead of them in life. I also additionally applied to all these places that are at my skill level (secretary jobs, law firms, clerk positions, typing, data entry, IT, everything I'm good at), only to find that they're looking for people who will be here for more than just the summer. *headdesk*
But today, I found the job of my dreams! I get to work at this kickass law firm that's in one of the tallest buildings right by the country court house in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The firm specializes in criminal defense. Aka FUCKING AWESOMEEEE.
...except for one, tiny, miniscule, absolutely meaningless thing.
It's volunteer work :/ Aka I won't get paid. The only job I can find while being so horribly poor is one that will make me even poorer (gas ain't cheap, you know).
I JUST CAN'T WINNNNN.
I have an interview set up for next week. I want the job sooo bad...but I want money so bad too. You should do what you love and be happy with it, no matter how much or how little you get paid, right? Then this is a great practice run for me then. I better fucking love this shit if I'm willing to be even MORE broke (God, I can't even imagine being poorer than I am now) for it.

If you haven't seen the pilot of Glee, watch it on Hulu or Fox.com asap because it's hilarious! The season itself won't air until September, but GOD I've watched the pilot like three times and I'm in love :) Why didn't anyone think to combine a musical and comedy in a TV show like this before?!
