Heartbeat Chapter 5
I'm done with highschool everyone! The year went on, but instead of getting less work, I got more which resulted in me again, failing at my duties of updating my journal. But, I'm here with what you want! Another update of Heartbeat. Enjoy :)
Chapter five will be a drabble and from then on it will be a series or short drabbles (or long ones) on how their relationship progresses. Thanks to all the few but faithful readers who enjoyed this :)
The dreaded next morning.Usually the next morning after spontaneous sex following a wild night, it can be confusing for both people and in the process, ending the friendship they once had. However, the next morning wasn't the whole cliched awkward "what have we done?!?" type of mornings where we were both left feeling regret. We were both feeling really calm about the situation, but we just needed to talk things out.
So here we are, Sho sitting at my coffee table shirtless and all but cuddling his cup of coffee while we discuss. Have I mentioned how adorable he is?"I know we took things kind of fast last night.."
"Yeah I know, I practically ripped your clothes off, but I won't state the obvious." "I know..maybe we should have-"
"But it felt right, Jun, as crazy as it sounds. It didn't feel like a one night stand. I know you didn't want it to be like that." The look in his eyes was unmistakable. He wanted to know that what he was saying was the truth.
I smiled "Of course it wasn't. Granted, I wanted to take things slower, but we got lost in the heat of the moment. But...If you want to.. Because I know I want to.. I wouldn't mind if we..if we.."
"Why am I getting flustered at the end of my sentence? What am I afraid of? Denial?"
Sho chuckled at my reluctance. "If we became something?"
"You mind reader."
"Exactly. But only if you wanted to. I wouldn't..I mean NEVER force you into-" He cut me short with a soft kiss.
"Don't get so flustered around me Jun." He put his hand softly on my shoulder. "You're unlike anyone I ever met. You're filled with adventure, the type that I want to experience." He put down his coffee and moved towards me, his arms wrapping me in an embrace.
I wrapped my arms around him and chuckled, surprised by how my luck was falling into place like this. "I'll try my hardest to be the best adventure filled partner ever"
And as simple as that may be, after this whirl wind we have been through, that is how we became a couple.
"If it's adventure you want, then adventure you shall get. Hope you're ready for the ride, Sho"
