(no subject)
Completely wiped. Still at work. My room is up a few flights of steep stairs and I ran around all day trying to find things to decorate/furnish.
Purchased: Two tables, one platter for table top, chair, shelf. Mulberry vintage lamp. WORLD GLOBE LAMP. Assembled: 2 tables.
Awaiting delivery: French Kiss movie poster, 2 area rugs, orange and white world map wall tapestry.
One table was on clearance at World Market and required quite a bit of assembly but I did it all by myself and it's great. The second table I got at Unique Thrift. It's short and round and kind of ugly but I found a great huge Marimekko print platter at the Opportunity Shop that I'm going to use as a table top and it looks quite awesome. The chair I also got at Unique Thrift and it sits low to the ground. It's blue faux leather with gold studding and dark brown wood. Also, I love it. The shelf is wicker and average but it was only $6. The globe lamp I've been searching for for a long time and I was so happy to find it. Once all my stuff comes in the mail the room will look pretty great. I still want to get a big trunk/chest for storage, but other than that everything is pretty much coming together. The only thing I don't like is that I have to park my car kind of far away, and but that I mean a 10 minute walk, which really isn't that far, but it's not as convenient as having your car right with you. However, I will get more exercise this way, and will be more mindful about leaving things in there.
