Rollercoaster of a Day
Rumors were that there were going to be big announcements today, so a small gang of us decided to book a night out at Buffalo Wild Wings (BW's). The big announcements didn't happen, but I did learn that:
The plane that crashed in Buffalo NY yesterday? The man that was killed as the plane crashed into his house used to work at our company. I remembered him from about 10-15 years ago. People spoke about it in very hushed tones today.
One of my dear friends in Texas was given his notice today. :(
My manager mysteriously took a day off today (she always gives 1-2 days notice) and her boss scheduled a department-wide staff meeting on Monday. We never have these, it's always done in sub-group by local managers. Maybe the announcements are Monday. Sigh.
Our BWs group didn't quite gel - there were only 3 of us plus my hubby. It was loads of fun to get out of the house and spend an evening with my man. He's SO darn cute :)
AND LESS THAN 2 DAYS TIL DAYTONA 500!!! WOOO!!!
