She comes by it honestly, at least

I got a note from K's teacher today.  (uh oh).  Miss C had given them a writing assignment and K wasn't quite finished when time was up.  K wanted to keep working on it, and Miss C told her that she could put it on the table and finish it after the group.  K threw her papers down on the table and sat on the floor, not with the group.  Miss C asked her again, more firmly.  She refused.  Miss C got stern with her and she finally complied.

K was with her dad and I had bell practice, so we weren't able to discuss it until nearly 8:30 pm.  Doug and I addressed her together.  I sat next to her, assured her I love her, and that being disrespectful is not acceptable.  I'm being quite serious (this is your warning, but when you get in trouble at school, there will be trouble at home - complete with stern face) when I noticed her headband was still on (she has always taken them off and often looses them) so I interjected "Ooo! I see you have your headband on!".   *face palm

-10 points for lack of focus  ;)

Katie asked me once how come I go from upset to happy so fast.  I told her I see things in little pieces.  I can be feeling blue and then see something funny and laugh my butt off about it.  The other feelings are still there, but the good things help me find my balance again.

*spies shiny ring on finger...
