"Just because you're into seedy, lounge, seedy-bar singers, doesn't mean I have to go to one," Sunny says, sniffing imperiously, and Amber and Sooyoung trade glances.
"He is not see--" Amber starts at the same time Sooyoung says, "Why don't you just give it a try?"
Sunny curls her toes under the blanket and watches as the Disney logo forms on-screen. Amber and Sooyoung stand at the doorway, both dressed for a night out, Amber twirling her keys around her finger.
"Sunny," she says, and Sunny wonders what kind of friends drag you out when you're feeling like shit.
"Mother," she replies coolly.
"You won't know until you try," Sooyoung says, though not very convincingly as she leans against the kitchen counter. Sunny doesn't look up, and Amber rolls her eyes. "I'll give you those lollies I've been saving."
"The sour ones?" Sunny asks leisurely, and when Sooyoung nods, she kicks off her blanket, sighs heavily as she hauls herself up and disappears into her room.
"Five minutes!" Sooyoung calls, and Sunny comes out in less than two minutes.
"You called?" She flicks her hair and Sooyoung rolls her eyes.
"Okay princess, let's go!"
Originally for platypus's birthday, this was going to feature a lot of my biases (uh, jongber, sooyoung & sunny bantering, possible minyoung, because I know platypus likes it too) and eventually be hesitant Kyuhyun/Sunny. Amber and Sooyoung are actually going to one of SMTB's performances in a 'seedy, lounge, seedy bar' and dragging Sunny out because she just broke up and is in a Dark Place so they meet the rest of SMTB after their performance and Kyuhyun makes some snide Kyuhyun-like remark and Sunny is like: oh hey, you're worth keeping around. So they start a friendship and tease jongber about their relationship and minyoung about theirs before they get together... somehow.
I like how my brain works, too.
