Heehee! Yay!
I had a surprisingly good weekend.
I spent Saturday with my mum. It was our Mother's Day. I had to work today, so I asked her if we could make Saturday Mother's Day and she agreed. We went up to the Cape, and spent a good part of the day in Provincetown. We did some shopping, and I ended getting her present while we were there, when she wasn't paying attention. I got her this bonsai kit - it's really cool. Ever since I was small I remember always having bonsai trees in the house. She loves 'em! So I found this kit in this store Recovering Hearts and I pointed it out to her and she thought it was so cool. The kit includes all the stuff necessary to take care of the bonsai and the seeds to grow it. I'm pretty sure she's never grown and bonsai, just bought it. This should be interesting. Maybe in like a year she can actually start trimming the thing, lol. I joke. I dunno how long it actually takes to grow the thing. After that I went to this store Earthbound Trading Company I bought her this celestial mirror. Hard to explain, but it's quite beautiful. It wasn't until I got home and was wrapping her gifts when I realized the mirror would probably look better in my room, lol. Oh well. I also bought her this little pocket stone in the shape of a heart, because I love my mum. <333
I also got plenty for myself. We looked in alot of stores, but I only ended up picking up stuff (for myself) in three - Indo, Global Gifts, and the Himalayan Handicrafts store. I got another hanging lantern that I wasn't able to pick up last week because I was short on funds. It goes perfectly in my room that has a celestial theme to it. It's navy blue and has suns and stuff on it. It's gorgeous, trust me. I can't explain to you how much I love the store Indo. I always go there and always end up getting something. They're more than reasonably priced, which is a shock, considering it's Provincetown, where everything is spiked up a few dollars. Ended up getting a beautiful skirt for $10 and four strands of Tibetan prayer flags for only $2, which was awesome, because everywhere else had them for about $10ish. I also noticed when I cashed out that there was a donation bowl towards the right of the register for an orphanage that the owner visits frequently in Indonesia. Put $2 in, would've put more if I didn't have to budget for the rest of the week. The guy thanked me and we ended up having a 10 min conversation about all these different things. Sweet guy. Then he gave me this free bag and I was like "Aren't you super!?!" Indeed, he was quite super. Then I went to Global Gifts and picked up more prayer beads and two more buddhas - bringing the buddha figurine total to 12.
Today I slept, worked, and studied. I also got to talk to Steve a bit, which was a pleasant surprise, as I rarely get to talk to him on the weekends. Because he doesn't like me enough to talk to me on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. :(
I love Provincetown so much. The vibe there is so great. I wouldn't mind staying up there for an entire summer. I wouldn't mind moving up there to live after college. I mean, it's only about 75 mins from where I live (120 mins the way my mum drives). Sure, it requires driving over the Sagamore bridge and driving through 2 or 3 rotaries (I fear bridges and rotaries) but I could just close my eyes. :) I dunno. It's a nice thought, but in reality it's expensive living up there - especially during the summer. *Sigh*
In other news, I finally registered for my fall semester courses. Here's what my schedule should be looking like:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday

For some reason I'm most excited about Modern Africa. Though I'm disappointed because no one I know is in that class. So if anybody is reading this and says "Poor Meg, I want to sign into that class and be with her" I will only encourage you to do so.
I've been burping alot lately. Who am I kidding? I burp alot all the time, not just lately. Big, loud, very un-ladylike burps. And guess what? I don't care. So in ya face. I will marry a man who embraces my loud burps and joins me in burping so we can create a cacopony of burpage. *buuuuuuuurp*
Pardon.
Tonite while at work Chris and I were being silly. I made up the word 'fasty' and I want you all to use it. Fasty is a combonation of the words fucking and nasty. So now whenever you want to say "Whoa, he's fucking nasty" you can just say "Whoa, he's fasty." It sounds stupid, but you will learn to embrace it. I think my fellow Americans will enjoy using the word most, because we are a generally lazy bunch, and have a habit of making words and sentences smaller.
I need to go clubbing this sometime this week or next. I will be uber stressed and will need to blow some steam. What better way to do it than to dance? Just dance it out. DANCE MEG DANCE!
I have to make pee now, so it's probably a good time to wrap up this entry.
Going to pee,
Meg
