draconn_malfoy Akutsu glared at the shelves filled with varies styles and designs of plush toys, grimacing at the cute toys that innocently stared back at him. He currently was in a stare-down with a brightly colored rabbit like plush as if it will suddenly tell him of what he is seeking to find. This had to be the fourth or fifth store Akutsu had wandered into in search of a gift that fit the person he was looking to buy for. Who only knows how many perky salespersons he scared off by now.
‘Let’s meet up later to exchange gifts, Akutsu-sempai! I’ll see you then desu!’ Still rang clearly in Akutsu’s head as it did hours ago, much like a migraine in his opinion. Yet for some reason the annoying brat’s bright and cheerful has done something to the older teen, and before Akutsu knew what he was doing he feet had carried him into store after store on this snowy afternoon.
Scoffing at the plush, Akutsu turned from the stuffed animal section of the store and moved in a almost frigid matter about the store, causing small children to hurry out of his way. In his wanderings, out of the corner of his eyes Akutsu laid his eye upon something that called out to him. Pausing in his step, Akutsu turned and picked up the item that caught his eye. Picking up the item and placing it under his arm, Akutsu walked toward the register to pay. After a seemly endless line of chattering customers, Akutsu finally got to pay for the item. At the gift-wrapping station Akutsu and the timid little old lady in thick glasses stared at one each other. In her hands she held up two different style of gift wrap before him, neither one would had been something he ever willingly pick. One was an assortment of red and paper with cartoon-ish Christmas trees and the other was just too sparkly for his taste. “I do have one other my boy. If neither are to your taste.” Then she proceeded to take the gift into the back to wrap it for him.
Little after a hour later Akutsu stood by the front gates of the Yamabuki Middle school package in hand. In a short distance away, Taichi was running towards him with a small box held close to his winter coat. “Akutsu-sempai! You made it desu!” As soon as the smaller boy was in front of his upperclassman, in a instant a light blue with silvery snowflakes gift was shoved into his face. Blinking wide brown eyes at the package before taking it, Taichi held it close to his chest as he handed over the patterned wrapped box to his upperclassman.
Akutsu stared at the box then before opening it, revealing a silver bell that he took out of the box. Noticing a engraved message on the inside of the bell, Akutsu read it out loud in a gruff voice, “ Here is what Christmas time means to me.” Then Taichi moved forward and wrapped his arms about, giving Akutsu a tight embrace. “Thank you Akutsu-sempai! It’s the perfect gift desu!” Akutsu noticed that he had not even opened the gift he gave Taichi, but the boy was talking about the smile that had slipped onto his face after he read the engraved bell’s message. Ruffling up the smaller teen’s hair, “Shut up...let’s go get something hot to drink you brat.” Akutsu wrapped a arm about the bouncing teen’s shoulders and lead them into town, reminding himself to smack the brat in the head after the Christmas season for the trouble he caused. In the end, he guessed that his smile and the hug were the best gifts that either could had wished for.
