I am borrowing a neighbor's wifi signal for the next few days. I'll be online as of Monday when the cable guy arrives. I won't have wifi in the house until Zanla arrives...I figure I might as well put off the purchase of the latest router until he gets here and we can set it up together. It will be really nice to be back online, though. I forget how much of my life depends on an internet connection.
Speaking of which....my iPhone has been ordered. It will be here in a week or two. Until then I am making good use of an old phone that my brother lent to me. Yay for brothers who are as tech addicted as me!
The boy and I are in the new house. The movers will be here Monday morning with almost 8000 pounds of stuff. Wondering what that looks like? Think 18 wheeler loaded with 6 crates. 3 guys will be with the truck, and it will take us all day to get it out of the boxes. I usually let them go before the boxes are unpacked, but the recycling here is an issue, so I need as many of the boxes as possible to leave with the movers. I've been told that the recycling truck won't even take pizza boxes, and I really don't want to spend the next year slicing boxes into small pieces.
We seem to live in the middle of nowhere. Today's mission was to find some bath towels, thinking that we would find some sort of shopping center somewhere. 50 miles and three hours later we were home, towels in hand. My goal is to not drive more than 10 miles total tomorrow. That should get us to the pool and back. We will have pizza delivered so I know what to do on Monday when I will not be able to leave the house.
Whew...it has been a very busy couple of days.
Today I realized that I purchased my computer a year ago...and never registered the warranty. Not a problem except that all of the paperwork is in a box somewhere floating on the Pacific right now. A quick couple of calls to the Apple Store and it has been dealt with. I'll be fully covered within a few days, with assurances that since I bought the warranty on the same day as and in the same store as the computer it will all be ok. Thank you Zach at the Apple Store. I will sleep well tonight.
In fact, I think I will do that right now!
