i've decided that Wellington only has two seasons, and that they both come and go throughout the year.
those two seasons are Northerly and Southerly
if the wind is coming from the south, a southerly, then it's going to be cold... you're suddenly aware that there is nothing between you and antarctica.
if the wind is coming from the north, a northerly, then the weather is going to be warmer. and possibly humid
and which way the wind is blowing seems to have a lot more effect on our weather than supposed seasons... our
seasonal change here in Wellington is relatively gradual and of a narrow range
