I called the Santa Fe Opera to make sure they did in fact get my application. The lady said she had recieved it and it has been sent to their master electrician to review. Geez. It would be awesome to be an on staff master electrician! You get to pick who your assistants are!
Other then that I'm still waiting for an e-mail or a phone call from them. Hell, I'll take a post card as long as it says that they want to call me up for an interview!!
In recent news: I am now the lighting designer for Throne of Straw. The Importance of Being Earnest is now being designed by Marc. Which is fine. Although I was actually getting excited to design for the main stage and work witht he batton system and what not. But I have been given a main stage show in the fall which will be 'right up my alley' and 'really interesting' I have been told.
But yes. I have 14 days (including today) to have my design finished! I haven't even read it yet! AH!!!!! I mean, I'm sure I can do it... I'm just not sure of what it will look like at the end..... Well as long as actors faces are lit .... ;)
I have been working all of spring break for the theater. But not today. I am going to relax, watch a movie, maybe clean a little, and get on reading the play so I can get on designing it.
