Came second with a score of 72.69 and George behaved impeccably all day. I am very tired but just wanted to post as I am a proud proud Mama. :-)

I am on my countdown to the championships! Only three more days until we go. Had a lesson this morning and we stayed away from the 'new scary' stuff and stuck to what we (HE!!) Knows. They have redeemed themselves ever so slightly by granting me an annual leave day on saturday. I should've been working but they have actually been halfway human and let me have saturday off as I have the championships on sunday. I sent a letter with some pictures of my boy to his original breeders (who have a stud in Staffordshire) telling them of our dressage qualification this year. They are lovely people who breed beautiful welshes and since I have had George I have sent them updates about twice a year ( Read more... )

I had a great weekend despite all the personal crap going on. Went to Burghley on Sunday to watch the showjumping phase of the three day event and although that was fabulous, we enjoyed far more the 'Event Pony Of the Year' competition in ring two.
