Went up to ride Georgy this morning in the foul, wet weather. We both got soaked to the skin although despite this he was a star in the school.
So I brought him in, sorted him out and left him drying off in his cuddly fleece rug, munching hay and being a contented welsh horse.
So, since he was happy I decided to concentrate on me and put the kettle on. (We are lucky enough to have a kitchen)
Jo had just arrived on yard and was going to join me for a cuppa buit needed to talk to one of the other liveries first.
Carried on making tea and then all hell broke loose. Jo and the other livery were screaming at each other in a very dramatic way and the row really escalated in a very nasty manner. Now, Jo is thye first to admit she has temper and when she blows she really blows but the livery seemed to be takinmg great pains to push all the buttons to make her explode.
Eventually I had to go get between them because it was a smidge away from becoming physical.
Even then when I got Jo to walk away, the livery was stull throwing insults at her and I wound up usoing some very 'train manager' techniques to get her to shut the f@ck up!
Anyway, the upshot is that Jo told her to go and gave her an hour to have her horse off the yard.
Got Jo calmed down with copious amounts of tea and finally got the full story. Livery had borrowed Jo's bridle (with permission) and then left it out in the rain all night. She wouldn't apologise and told Jo that she made enough money and could always buy a new one! Now this particular person has disputed the yard costs with Jo before and to be honest, is a snidy bitch.
What really upset Jo was though was when nasty comments about Jo's sister (who passed away suddenly three years ago) were thrown into the mix.
How below the belt!!!! Anyway, said livery has vacated the yard and peace reigns once more.
People are strange.
