Jack had been asleep for six hours, just lying on his sofa completely still. Every now and then, he would mumble something to quick for Alex to catch but he was pretty convinced it was someone’s name. Alex was in fact certain it was a name. Most likely one of the girls that Jack had slept with.
Alex chuckled as quietly as he could. A year ago, Jack was a virgin. That boy had he changed. The elder boy continued to sit in silence just watching his best friend sleep while trying to think of some of the names of girls that Jack had fucked. For a start, there was Holly. He knew that Holly wasn't just one of Jack's one night stands, she was in fact the one that took his virginity. She was the one who turned him into a slut and Alex hated it. What he hated most of all was the way Jack looked down on him for still being a virgin. Jack just seemed to expect Alex to be the same as him but Alex never would be. He didn't want to be like him. Besides, Alex had always wanted to wait until he found the right person instead of drinking himself into oblivion and screwing any girl insight. Alex was not like that.
He sighed and shifted his position. The more he thought about it, he started to wonder whether he should just get it out of the way. Both boys lived in a small town where everyone knew each other And Alex, didn't like any of them. Well, not in that way anyway. So if he did want to wait for the ‘one’, he’d have to go searching outside of his home.
Alex stared at the clock, although he didn't concentrate on it or even gathered the time. The thoughts of sex were running too thickly around his head. One thing he didn't want, was to become a 40 year old virgin you see on the TV.
He flipped his hair out of his eyes trying to forget the thought. He was nothing compared to Jack really. He was the one everybody wanted to date, or be in fact. As where Alex, he was just 'Jack's friend'. He hated everyone comparing him to Jack and because he always turned down sex; everyone was starting to assume he was gay. The teen fidgeted, he didn't like that idea. He wasn’t homophobic, if anything he supported gays, but he didn't want to be known as the schools gay boy, especially if he wasn't. Or was he? Every time he thought about it, it made him question his sexuality. It also made him shake the thought away and try to bury it at the back of his mind. It always came back though, he couldn't control it.
"Lex..?" Jack Mumbled through a yawn.
"Yes Jackery?" The older boy replied.
"Don't call me that you turd.” Alex chuckled and gave him his best 'I don't give a fuck' look while standing up.
"Sleep well?"
"Mmm, usually better with someone though." Jack said causing Alex to shake his head. "You should try it Gaskarth."
"I will one day..."
"I know, I got Holly to agree to fuck you as a 17th birthday present." Jack smirked. Alex could see in his eyes that he wanted to start another argument about it but it was getting late and Alex didn't have the energy.
"Don't chicken out this time Gaskarth."
"I won't...Anyway Jack it's getting late; I said I'd eat with my mom tonight." He lied.
"Alright mate. Well I'll see you tomorrow at school, yeah? I can give you some tips for your big day."
"Okay, well, um, bye..." Alex said with a small wave before getting outside as quick as he could.
Holly? Of all people Holly? Alex thought.
He didn't find Holly attractive and he really didn't want to go there with her. Jack, I hate you. he thought.
Alex shivered, it was December 5th and he made the dumb choice of going without a jacket. He cursed under his breathe and picked up a quicker space. He just wanted to be home.
