I went hiking with Calin earlier, and it was really awesome. I felt good to workout, and plus we had a kick ass conversation.
I went to Jonno's, hung out, grabbed some dinner that he was just pulling off the grill when I arrived.
but the BEST part about this evening was that BARK invited me to go see "Bat for Lashes" at the Great American Music Hall, and holy catfish. THANK YOU BARK!!!! It was hands down, like...one of the most amazing, moving, emotion-stirring events I've been to.
That was our first time being at that venue, and we both thought it was perfect for the artist. (Btw Bark, I did some research...her name is Natasha Khan...she's half Pakistani, half British, and she decided on the name because she liked how the words sounded next to each other!). I loved that there were a lot of different types of people...from bikerish dudes to hipsters to middle-aged women, etc. The interior of the building was...baroque inspired, I believe. Lil' cherubs up on the ceiling and shit. And most of the set, they had blue lights goin' on. I was trying really hard to be "in the here and now" but I kept climbing back into my head because the music invoked emotions that made me think about shit. So I was brought back to a hard night, and also felt happy and moved, and came up with an idea for a book that, really, I'd probably never pursue writing. But hey.
SHOOOH.
I had a killer ass time!! LOVE YOU BARK. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
21st bday in 9 days...HOLLERZ.
