Home again...
So yea. Chilling. I seem to only ever check LJ when I'm at home. This week (2 days of school) was ridiculously easy and mindless. Haven't done homework in a week and a half. In two days I had three classes--the three classes I don't really enjoy. The one I do like we didn't have at all this week. Grades are good. 3 As and a really high B right now I think. That B might be an A. Really not sure. I have a final test and project for that class, then all the dust will settle. Hopefully an A. How sweet would it be to get straight As in the first semester in college? Pretty much the best writer in my English class, too, despite the fact that I put little effort into my essays. On my paper, (this essay was graded the hardest of the three we have to do) I got a 95. Of most the people in class that I talk to, I got the only A. On the paper my teacher wrote, "Nice work, like always, Randy." Made me feel pretty good because she grades really tough. That grade also brought my class grade up to an A and I can get as low as an 80 on my final in-class essay and still keep it.
Off that track. Watched Fight Club for the first time yesterday. Great movie. Totally threw me when I found out he had multiple personality disorder. Gotta watch it again to pay attention for all the little intricacies. Watched National Treasure today. It was a decent movie. Had it not been a Disney movie, it would've had the capacity to be a really good one. I really hadn't taken the time to watch my burned/copied dvd collection until now, and it's like the flood gates have opened. I started watching Kingdom of Heaven for the first time on the way home tonight.
The drive home tonight took nearly 4 hours. That's over 1.5 hours longer than the normal time. We were in heavy traffic from that big dump truck wreck for a long time.
Got an IPod early for my bday over a week ago. I love that thing. I have over 2200 songs on there already and the picture associated with the albums and stuff. It's sweet. Tried loading some videos on there, but you have to shrink them to a certain resolution to do so. Haven't taken the time to do that yet. I'd forgotten how nice it was to have an mp3 player. Last one I had I got wet on our little island campout over Spring Break and it definitely hasn't been the same since. It'll turn on about 10% of the time. The other times I have to take the battery out and put it back in. Heh. Nice to put that one behind me.
So I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Definitely looking forward to Thanksgiving. Looking forward to Friday as well. This trip home is holding a lot of promise so far. We have to leave early Sat. morning so that we can get up to UF in time to properly tailgate for the game. That means 2-3 hours before. So we pretty much have to leave at 9 in the AM. Holiday traffic is not gonna help, either.
Welp, gonna watch a little more of Kingdom of Heaven for a bit and then go to sleep. Buenos noches, todos.
