That was fun.
Okay. So, I go over to Bremerton to pick up some things that Mom had in the basement (including CB parts - I'm looking to rigging up Grandpa's old system and see if I can make it work). I also check in on her stubborn little dog, who got glanced by a car when he got off-leash. The little fellow's leg has a fracture, but he seems to be his usual self otherwise.
Then, there's picking up Michelle. OK, now for those folks who haven't seen a picture of us, it was a classic example of how two people who technically look alike sometimes don't. She had a blouse, jacket, and long skirt on (she attended a wedding earlier). I had my white Lantern T-shirt, black jeans, and one of my glitter caps.
So, we get to the Fremont Movies for the Tron double-feature.
blue_crow and her pal Tennyo were already there. So nice to see other fans! If you want to see a movie, you get popcorn and fire up your DVDs at home. A public showing? that's an excuse top geek out with other fangirls. Oh, and they had the trivia contest? Yeah. Aced it. Their idea of "spicy nerdball" question was naming 2 of the 3 roles David Warner was playing. Ask me something hard, dude! It still won me a t-shirt and some licorice.
(The nastiest trivia riddle I have for that movie? Name the two Babylon 5 cast members in the film!)
After that, twin and was very tired, so I drove her home.
Next day was trying to do a play through of Tron 2.0 (aka "the forgotten/discredited sequel"). Well, here was an argument. She's of the opinion that I'm too harsh on characters and I'm of the opinion that she's not seeing the obvious Fridge Horror/Fridge Logic. There's also the matter of slash and where we stand on the topic (I've got a higher tolerance than she does). What we can agree on? Most of that game can be ported over to Legacy's timeline without trouble, especially if the prologue to Ghost in the Machine is factored in. The primary thing to dodge is Lora being dead in 2.0's timeline and alive in Legacy's - we're going with Legacy, thanks! We can also agree that Jet totally would totally be Sam's partner in crime.
I took Monday off to recover from all the geeking out, and I went home to work on a bit more of "Diamond Sky" and found out one of my kink meme prompts got filled! Yay! Oh, and before you ask - it may be a kink meme, but the prompt itself was completely Gen.
Here's the fill. I really must write a detailed review for her.
