Aaaaaaah
Now this is more like it.
Pretty stressful week, culminating in the email I received on Friday that I mentioned earlier, the treacherous drive home on Friday evening on icy roads and in hellish gridlock, and a rather-unlike-himself misbehaving Connor today.
Si and I are both pretty exhausted, and therefore happy to give each other a little space now the kids are in bed. So she's off with the last three days papers, and some clementines, in a steamy, soapy bath.
Me? I'm taking full advantage of my new toy. Having set it up next to the PC, I've been continuing to rip my CD collection to mp3 (A-M complete, moving on to N) while watching "Team America: World Police", eating some clementines also (interspersed with chocolate, admittedly!), and reading the Guardian (Team America being a lot of fun, but not really enough to hold my full attention).
Now I've temporarily stopped reading George Best's obituary, and I'm updating my journal here, while playing the DVD that came with MTV Unplugged Vol. 3 (currently showing R.E.M.), having defragged the drive I'm ripping to somewhere in between all this.
And it's nice, just having *me* time, watching a movie, listening to music, eating good food and reading. I feel relaxed for the first time in days.
