What: An unintended consequence
Power Girl ignored Huntress’ growing exasperation at having been dragged out from Metropolis and laid a wrinkled blueprint out on the alley floor. Many feet above them, lights from nighttime lab research poured into the alley and Kara could vaguely hear the sounds of activity when she concentrated.
“He must really think I’m stupid, Helena. Any idiot could see that this lab isn’t for green energy. I think he’s developing the laser to blow up the moon here. Especially since I can’t see through the walls- they’re obviously lined with lead. Why would he try to hide green energy from Superman?” Power Girl looked down to the blueprint, tracing with her finger. “I bought this off of a janitor, so we can see where the main office is, and-”
She was cut off by a far-off noise that Huntress didn’t hear. She did, however, notice that the lights above them had gone out, and Power Girl used her superhearing to learn that inside, people were panicking over a power outage. No, that wasn’t it- the security system was down too.
“Helena, their computers are down,” she grinned. “This is a perfect chance to see what they’re doing in there.”
