I'm pretty darn excited right now, because I just set up my very own Live Journal. I'm not saying I know how to use it, but it's here!
I'm working, as usual. Right now I am somewhat of a graphic design intern at EMU in the Academic Programming office. Although I do believe that I will be moving to the Communication and Theater Arts Department very soon to do even more design work, hurrah! It seems as though summer is flying by and I'm getting behind in all of the things I have to do. Such as: working on an arrangement of the song "Roll to Me" for the collegiate acappella group that I'm in, making a poster for the EMU Alumni Association, keeping in contact with friends, spending time with Zach :), and maybe even relaxing.
Speaking of acappella. I'm the president of Eastern's only a cappella group, No U-Turn. We were just started last year and we have a blast singing contemporary songs and chillin'. You should all audition when we have tryouts in the fall!
Another exciting thing is that I feel like an official graphic designer now because I just got my first job! I get to make a poster for the EMU Alumni Association to keep track of their donations. It will be my responsibility to make it, show the client drafts, and take it through the production phase. I won't bore you with the details, but I'm actually getting paid $25/hr. for it. I never knew graphic design was worth so much money! Despite the fact that I'm a little nervous, this will be AWESOME!!!
I'm excited for this weekend for three reasons: I get to hang out with Tina tonight (I haven't seen her in FOREVER), I get to sleep in tomorrow and Father's Day is on Sunday. I'm in the process of getting my dad my first gag gift ever. It's going to be hilarious! You see, he grills a lot all year round, and the ironic thing is that whenever he grills outside it seems to rain. A problem you say? Not anymore. My father is soon to be the owner of his very own umbrella hat (as soon as it comes in the mail!) I can't wait to see his face when he opens up the package. And the great thing is that he will actually wear it!! (and I'll be right there to take a picture, don't you worry!)Ahh...it's gonna be great.
I think that's it for today...I'm nervous since this is my first time! We'll see how often I write. Let's just hope someone reads it!
