today, I discovered:
1. that the cute little red book I bought for 50 cents at Goodwill will not be ideal to cut up and make into a wallet. It's a 1906 Red Letter Edition of Shakespeare's Henry 4th. And it's so cute inside and out. So I guess I'll save it for looks. And buy something else for cutting up.
2. that leaves, sewn to shiny paper, and put into 79 cent frames from Goodwill, look kinda cute. Worthy of the iD show I'm entering Thursday, that's for sure.
3. that Kinko's charges way too much ($10/sq.ft) for poster printing. How I miss the Carnegie banner printer. It'll be nice paper though. I get to pick up Layers & Today tomorrow after 3pm. I hope to frame them and keep these nice prints for a very long time. I'm also entering these in the iD juried show.
4. that cute married guy Sam from design camp probably didn't design his awesomely great business cards. The best I've seen, yes, but that's because I hadn't seen any others from his studio! for some reason I thought he did them. But really it's a company thing (and now that I consider this, it all makes sense). And their website's nice too. Check out www.catalyststudios.com and take a peek at their work and then their games. If you check out the high scores, you'll notice I enjoyed Meltdown Mayhem.
5. that I still don't know what I'm doing here.
