Embroidery milestones - with pictures
I am now 200 hours into my embroidery project. And I have finished the satin stitch on the first cuff, so can progress to goldwork (which will hopefully be a much speedier process). Also, the second cuff has most of the outlining and the padding stitches completed and some satin stitch already done too..
So here's a pic of the finished satin stitch:
This was taken before I did some fix ups. For example, the berry/fruit on the right hand side of the pic below:
It quite clearly needed to be fixed - you can probably tell it's the first one of those that I did and it was more complicated than it looks. So it has been redone and now looks much neater (no pic though).
And now I get to play with gold and silver threads, purl and the like.
