I have now gotten my lowest grade in my entire career as a graduate student: an A MINUS!!! Why the minus, I wonder!? I completed THREE editions instead of the required two!

Oh well -- I can't really complain, now, can I?

I finished my Printmaking class last night -- It was great, we got to work for half the time, got individual time to show the professor our work, then showed our work to the class for a group critique. We decided to have a really concise critique, so applause would erupt whenever the discussion would get "quiet" and we'd move along to the next ( Read more... )

All of my work for my special ed class has to be turned in in APA style, a style I'm less used to (I'm usually a MLA girl). Yesterday when we were about to get our papers back, the professor said, "You are all doing so well! But you can't all get perfect 4.0s, so I had to be a real stickler about the APA ( Read more... )

So, Summer Session 1 is now OVER. (Wooo hoo!!!) I had a great critique in my photography class. The best compliment came from  a guest artist that came to our critique: he didn't realize all of my photos were of the same person (me)!!! In Linda's class, we are doing PRINTMAKING. I love printmaking. This is, of course, K-12 style printmaking, so we are doing things like reduction prints out of styrofoam (I made an abstract squid-like print last week!). I cannot believe it -- today is my last day of printmaking!!! How sad! I have loved the course, and I intend to take printmaking again as one of my studio electives. I saw Harry Potter finally! I went with Beth (vertical_chaos) last night, and it was great! We saw it on IMAX. There were only about 18 minutes of 3D, but it was really cool! We had a nice time.
