Making Postcards.

Remember the community I joined, marvelousmail? I sent a 1960's package to someone last time?

Well, this month is a postcard round instead of a package. The instructions were to MAKE or ALTER two postcards (you get 2 partners this round!).

I decided to use my old test strips from photography (rather than throwing them away). I had special blank postcards already (bought 'em and never used 'em!) already. I used watercolors on the blank cards, then with my sewing machine I sewed the photograph to the card. I also used stickers, rubber stamps, and mod-podged on the phrases (which come from magazines).

This one's going to aphoriste in California:

This one's going to nagain in New Zealand:

I thought it was a good idea to scan them, in case they got lost in the mail, or altered. Plus it is a fun memory for me to remember making them!

I had such a good time making these, I may make some more!! Let me know if you would like to receive a homemade postcard! (Warning: Probably it will have a photo of me on it.)
