It was a whim.  I thought, Hm, this might be a good exercise in getting me to write, period.  I have an insanely hard time just getting the words onto the computer, because I nitpick and want every word to be the right one.  That's no way to be productive, really.

XD Probably not, but I know I just want to write a novel, and I haven't been doing that on my own, so maybe a good bit of pressure and madness is what is needed.

Thanks! Any ideas for what you're going to be writing about? Haha, probably a bit late to be thinking about that, but oh well.

As a now-veteran NaNoer, I realise I ought to say things like "WHAT YOU ARE MAD", but instead I just say "SQUEE!" Because it really is fun, in a terrifying sort of way, and it reformed my writing like nothing else ever has. (I have SEVENTY ONE PAGES of IN-ORDER NOVEL, most of which even makes sense. And I've been writing pretty constantly since last November. It is WONDERFUL.) I am also a perfectionist, to the point where I will give up for weeks because something just isn't coming out right, but NaNo taught me that sometimes the only way to get over the gorse bushes of logic and plot holes and whatever else is to keep jumping at them until you finally hit the thing that gets you over.
