Book talk.
Just finished Kite Runner, my next-to-last summer reading book.
It was GREAT.
I'm so glad the books on our list are actually good reads this year. I finished all the books on my list of 'books to read' that I posted last time:
The Poisonwood Bible - a very, very interesting read. Really sad too. I enjoyed it, and I liked getting some more background info on Congo happenings.
The Red Tent - absolutely loved it! Not a great read for guys though... hahaha. It made me want to run up to my friends, hug them all and yell "oh, WOMANHOOD!" Or something. XD
The Kite Runner - also a very good read. I'm tied as to which is my favorite right now, this book or Red Tent. They're both so different in subject matter though, it's hard to choose. This one was really sad, but it was one of those novels that you just can't put down.
Harry Potter (the 6th one) was good too. Now I just need to get my hands on the 7th one... no spoilers plz.
Did I mention Europe was charming? It was charming.
Did I mention getting my wisdom teeth out + recovery sucked? It sucked.
