Neither Karl nor Viggo goes to the wedding.
That's all been discussed, more than once, and it always comes to the same conclusion: in the end, each of them has his own life separate from their lives together, and their shared life will part and join around whatever happens in their individual lives, like a river, like air.
It's Karl, of course, who speaks it. "You'll move into your house, and have your babies and raise them, and we'll be the uncles." He doesn't mean just Orlando, and they all know it- they like her, she loves them, and all the dogs get along. But Orlando's got his house just up the way, on the bluff road, and they'll have their own place in LA, and probably in London and one near her folks, and that's what it will be, this new life, this bigger life.
