Official diagnosis:  Bipolar II.  I've been placed on the most ridiculously expensive drug ever, an antipsychotic called ablify, which some of you may have heard of.  I won't be on it next month, tho...at $483/month, there's no way i can afford it.

not much else to report, really.

Nicole at least now you know what has been plaguing you all these years and that has to be somewhat of a relief. It is nothing about you as a person, it is just something out of your control. The nice thing is that it is not Bipolar I which sounds much more severe in the little reading I did on I and II just now ( ... )

Really, the major difference between bipolar I and bipolar II is that with bipolar I you have hallucinations. So I'm not super crazy, just crazy. haha.

And before y'all get angry about me calling myself crazy, I don't really think I'm crazy.

Verrry pricey. Well, I looked into it a little, and apparently insurance will take that price down to $70, but that's still awfully expensive for 30 little pills, imo. maybe if i had a million dollars, but i'm barely squeaking by as it is. i guess it depends what the cost of the other meds would be...

and i'm not asking my grandparents. i'll ask them for money if the hospital takes me to collections for my surgery money, but not for this. i'm really not allowed to tell anyone i'm in therapy. my parents are embarrassed.

my mom is a superhero. i never forget that.
it's one of the reasons i'm in therapy, and the most important one...my parents don't deserve to be snapped at over nothing. and i am out of control sometimes.

&& now i need to post, because of one little sentence you threw

When you put it in persepective, $70 a month is not that much of a cost for your health. In fact it is a bargain. I know you are up against it financially but this $2/day may be the key to curing many of your problems including your financial one as it may curb your compulsive spending. This is too important to not do because of $2/day. You can cut that small amount of money out of each day with no problem no matter how dire your finances may be ( ... )

Ur family should not be embarassed about it, I hope you are not. It is not like you could control it, or them for that matter either. It is what is, and hopefully the medication will help. I have heard of abilify, a friend of mine takes that. I believe it is one of the newer drugs out there. If you have magazines, there are ads in some of them. I am happy you did get a diagnosis. I am hooping things will be looking up for you, at least where this is concerned. *hugs*
