Stole this one from
gamma_x_orionis. All my WIPs are SO OLD. No kidding. These are just the ones that I feel like I can eventually finish or ones that I just can't let go of. I feel especially bad about Facades becasue I feel like I just left so many people hanging. I think up to this point it's still my most popular fic ever, at least as far as long fics go. Not the best written, but sometimes that's not the best indicator of popularity in my experience lol. Anyway, now I save all my long fics for BigBangs so have like...you know...an actually deadline that makes me write. Anyway:
Post a random sentence (or three whole paragraphs) from every WIP you're currently working on, even if it's very short. Then invite people to ask questions about your WIP. With any luck, you'll get talking about writing, and the motivation to take that WIP one step closer to completion will appear as if by magic!
A Whole New Dimension | Star Wars x Pearl Harbor
/Do you think they're seps?/
/I don't know, Anakin. They look - sound - lost if you ask me./
/Blood and mud on their military uniforms. They have weapons. They're looking for something that can fly called planes… Come on, Master. Who else that has seen battle would be on Gavis IV. They're obviously not our men./
/Anakin, nothing brash,/ Obi-Wan counseled his former padawan as the two young men came almost level with them.
Anakin stepped out of their small hideout and Obi-Wan followed suit. "Hold it!" Anakin called.
The two young men - Danny and Rafe - stopped dead as the two Jedi materialized before them out of seemingly nowhere.
"Wow…" Danny hissed under his breath. "What in the world…?"
"Who are you?" Anakin questioned briskly.
"Pilots!" Danny blurted. And received an elbow in the side for his trouble.
Anakin's eyes narrowed. "Are you separatists?"
Rafe gave him a questioning look. "One, what're separatists? Two, who're you?"
"'Cause you're certainly not Chinese," Danny put in. Rafe turned to glare at him.
"So you are on the side of the Republic?" Obi-Wan asked more mildly.
"Depends on what republic you're talkin' about," Danny said carefully.
"The Galactic Republic, of course!" Anakin exclaimed, now somewhat confused.
"Yea, we're all for world peace," Danny replied, earning him another look from Rafe

"So anyway," Anakin continued. "I saw it was you and since you were out cold I decided to take you home. Good thing I know where you live."
"Wait…how?"
Anakin rolled his eyes. "Put you in the back seat of that Ford of yours and we were here in a matter of minutes."
"Wow…wait…You? Drove MY car?"
Anakin looked confused. "Yea…I have a license if that's what you're worried about."
"Yes but YOU drove MY car."
"Would you rather I had left you there?" Anakin snapped.
"No…I…I mean thanks. It was nice of you to help. I just…"
"Didn't expect it?" Anakin challenged.
"Well you don't like me much you know."
Anakin stared at him for a while. "Yea well it's not like you like me ether."
"Well I wasn't the one who just helped you out of a sticky situation. See why I'm confused?"
"Yea, I see. Some one like you wouldn't understand."
Obi-Wan furrowed his brows in mild confusion. "Understand what?"
"Nothing." Anakin started backing away from him. "Stay out of trouble, Prissy-Wan."
Obi-Wan sighed as he heard the front door slam. No he didn't understand Anakin Skywalker.
The Anakin Alphabet | Star Wars
There were so many of them.
The young padawan looked out of his hiding place with wide, fearful eyes as he watched the ominous droidikas, advancing forward, closer with each clanking step they took. Anakin looked back at his master who was slumped half unconscious against the durasteel wall. "Master, there are so many of them!"
Obi-Wan reached out and squeezed his shoulder. "It's up to you padawan…I'm rather incapacitated for the moment. Be brave."
The boy nodded. For Obi-Wan he would be. He had to be.
The padawan stood and stepped out into the light to face the blasters.
This Thing Called Love | The Dark Tower
Bert had never liked thunderstorms. There was something about the way the night sky lit up with hot, white light and the world erupted in deep, rumbling cacophony. Eleven-year-old Cuthbert Allgood was not at all brave on a thunderstorm night. He kept on getting up and pacing around the room until Roland finally rolled over and asked, "Bert, do you ever plan on going to sleep?"
The boy shook his head, honey-brown strands of hair flying everywhere.
Roland looked over to the two other boys but Alain and Jamie were sound asleep - nothing short of canon fire could wake those two. Roland glanced back over to his younger friend. "What is it, Cuthbert?"
Cuthbert sat down on the floor and pulled his knees up to his chin. "I hate lightning... and thunder."
