Yuletide Recs II

Dec 30, 2012 09:14

I wanted to get a few more recs up before the end of the year. There's always more yuletide to go and read, but I think this will be my second and last post of rare-fandom recs this year.

Romeo and Juliet
Confession (1093 words) by Anonymous
An interesting look at the canon through the eyes of a minor character, interesting characterization as well, of both Roseline and Romeo. This story offers a perspective I hadn't considered before.

Starling (1092 words) by Anonymous
Possibly from the same author as the previous one, given the characterization, although the wirting style seems somewhat different. The writing is beautiful and more expansion on the Rosaline perspective.

Snow White and the Huntsman
friends being for (1511 words) by Anonymous
Eric-William gen/friendship. A very warm moment for these two. And yes, more entertaining of my personal fangirlishness, that too.

blackguard (1095 words) by Anonymous
Ravenna/Snow White techically but in a sort of sureal manner. The writing is beautiful and Ravenna is perfectly creepy and enthralling.

The Crucible
Into Salem (2000 words) by Anonymous
An interesting John Proctor character study. From what I remember of canon, spot-on characterizations.

Winter Song (song)
Five Times Olive Knew Exactly What To Say (2598 words) by Anonymous
A lovely little cuddly femslash, perfect for the season with fireplace cuddling and snow sledding.

You Belong With Me (music video)
Sleepover (601 words) by Anonymous
I just sort of love the idea of paring the Dorky Girl and the Cheerleader Girlfriend together :)
