Yesterday spent the day with just Tim and I in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Magic Kingdom was...meh. Epcot was pretty sweet though- we spent way too much time in Japan. Tim got me a "pick-a-pearl" as an early christmas present and we got a beautiful 7.5 mm pink one which we then stuck on a pendant (which I'll probably mod out to an earring.) Oh- pick a pearl is where you a have a tray full of seeded oysters and you pick one and keep what you get. Excitingness. I finally broke down and got a second book on Japanese, too, one written by a native english speaker (which is much more useful in some ways than the book I already have.)
What was particularly sweet was hanging out with the head props manager who is a friend of the family (she was the one who got our tickets.) She gave us some VIP seats for stuff and a backstage tour of operations (not the crazy underground stuff- just the mill, laundry, paint shop, and all that kind of thing. She told us plenty about the staff and stuff. She's been working there fifteen years, too, so some of the stories she had were great.
