Nothing much has been goin' on....except this:
LilBen ordered a fiberglass bumper for the car we're building. It was delivered to his house last week one day..He came home, and was NOT impressed at all with it..So, as a nineteen year old wants to do, he goes in and posts some negative feedback on the guys website.( remember, I havent seen the bumper in person yet)..I go over his house last Friday, and see what he's talking about. Yeah, the bumper is poor quality, and the finish isnt really great but, I say we should try to fit it to the car before we think about sending it back. We try on Monday night, and it just dosent fit....it's not even close. So, Tuesday. I call the guy and he says if we really dont like the fit and finish of the bumper, we can send it back for a full refund of the part price, but the return shipping would be negotiable as far as who pays for it....( the bumper was 150.00..shipping was 90.00)
Well, I guess the guy dosent check his feedback online every day, and he just happened to check it yesterday ( AFTER he and I talked about the return)..Him and the boy get into a pissing contest on the phone, which ends up with the guy saying "you're on your own with the return shipping"....
The return shipping is more than half the price of the refund he would get so, I guess we might be stuck with a bumper that we cant use....after shipping it back, he would only get a refund of like 50.00....
I'm gonna call the guy again today, and try to smooth things over, reminding him of how it was when we were nineteen, and thought the whole world was out to get us....and flew off the handle at the slightest bump...
