Last Thursday. Upper West Side, you did me good! Dr. Sofa came Friday to take apart my boxspring, so it could fit down the stairs, and came to the new place on Monday to put it back together. (I spent the weekend sleeping at my parents').
I'll post pics when I'm all set up (which may take awhile... I was going to get blinds installed and then I thought I'd save my money and go see Hamilton instead because Hamilton, and then I screwed up while trying to install blinds, and now the guys can't come to measure my windows until January 7 and then who knows how long it will take to get the actual blinds and have them installed, so in the meantime I will get sticky temporary blinds from Home Depot and/or tape up garbage bags I guess?)
Settling into the new place fairly well, I think. I have a TON of boxes left to unpack (SO MANY BOOKS... and most of them will probably go back into boxes to be stored at my parents' house in Duchess County, but the movers packed for me so I don't know what is in what boxes to be unpacked or stored... ugh. I also have to put together my tv console, and buy a dresser (old one was too big for the new place, so I'm currently living out of my closet and a suitcase). But I am mostly moved in, and I have a lovely xmas/welcome-to-the-neighborhood card from
eleanor-lavish, and my apartment currently smells like beardy!Chris Evans in a plain flannel shirt, thanks to the Yankee Candle Mountain Lodge I have burning in my window, so yay for that!
Meanwhile, in all the excitement and also deadlines at work I don't know when I'm going to get to see Star Wars, and also Firefox has decided to disable my x-kit extension so I don't dare go on tumblr. Sigh. It'll happen, I know it will, and/or I'll figure out the x-kit thing, but it's frustrating, because fandom, you know?
