I got a speeding ticket.... from a traffic camera!!!!!
I'm so pissed! Although I thought this might have happened.
I was coming down the 3rd Street Tunnel to get on 295 towards Capitol Hill on Friday night... on my way to Remington's. And I KNEW there was a speed trap there. Brandon has gotta two tickets there! And someone else told me there was a speed camera there. But I wasn't even thinking about that... I was like, "WOW... no traffic! At 7:30 on a Friday night... cool..." And I was just zipping along...
Then I saw the flashes.... several rounds of multiple camera flashes.... and I knew I was busted. I looked down at the speedometer.... 60! I looked up at the speed limit sign: 45!
SHIT!
Still, maybe I hadn't been caught.
No such luck. Yesterday, I got the ticket in the mail. It included three photos of my car and said I was going 57! It was kinda creepy... I felt very violated. It was a little too "Big Brother Is Watching".... it's so weird that we have the technology to do this.... very bizarre.
$50! UGH!
Now I know... no more speeding in that tunnel... F*ckers!
