So, Daylight Savings Time starts in March now, instead of April. I must have missed a memo. Normally, every year (well, twice a year, actually) you get tons of warnings from all over the place before it's time to adjust your clocks an hour. I accomplished next to nothing all weekend.
I wrote at great length in the past about the issues I had when I first attempted to switch from donating whole blood to donating platelets at the Red Cross. Last Saturday, I went in for my third attempt at donating platelets by Apheresis ( first time, second). I had already decided that if it didn't work out this time, I would consider that the third strike and go back to donating whole blood (which has almost always been very quick and easy for me). It's a bit immature, but still not unexpected to jump around doing a victory dance while chanting "In your face! In your face!" when you get the top score on a video game. It's not nearly as normal to do so when you get the top score on a digital thermometer - although it does indicate that the thermometer was probably accurate.

It's been over two months since I unsuccessfully tried to donate platelets at the Red Cross. They keep calling, and I keep making appointments, but I haven't been able to make it back there.
