That's what I thought of last week when I read the book; but I forgot to mention it in yesterday's flood of posts. (I'm sure there are other things I'm forgetting; but I deliberately refrained from posting anything last week while I read the book.)

The subject line is a reference to "Substitutiary Locomotion."

So why hasn't Angela Lansbury been in any of the HP movies? (Have we seen Neville's grandmother yet?)

I never saw this movie, but the tune is very similar to what the Imagination ride in Epcot used to have (The original Figment version.)

Same songwriters: The Sherman Brothers, who did a godawful number of movies and musicals.

I have got to get a copy of Bedknobs now. That is one movie my kid really needs to see.

I recommend that you do not watch the 25th Anniversary special edition. The additional scenes that they edited back into the movie aren't important; and are in fact rather distracting due to the poorer video and audio quality (they had somebody else, who doesn't even sound like David Tomlinson, record his lines for the restored scenes).

What? That is an absolute abomination. I wonder if my parents still have their old VHS copy. Hmmmm...

Usually, I prefer special/extended versions of movies. This movie, and the original Star Wars trilogy, are among the rare exceptions.

If not, I'm sure you can find a used copy somewhere online. If it wasn't for the fact that this is a Disney movie, you'd probably be able to find both versions still in print.
