So why hasn't Angela Lansbury been in any of the HP movies? (Have we seen Neville's grandmother yet?)

I think they had a strong push to only use UK actors, even for bit parts. But yeah, I could see Neville's gram has having traveled a bit. (or is she british, she has that sort of tone, but I mostly remember her murdering people with a typewriter in NE on Sunday nights when i was growing up.

yes!!! I love this theory! it would give everything so much more balance and get rid of the wimpingoutness i feel the final book had...perhaps if the desks started tripping the students -- so she's still being subtle and harry STILL never believes she's actively bad.

Sprout and the Nurse are our purest expressions of Goodness and Competence. Perhaps Flitwick as well.

With some writers, i admit, i prefer fanon to canon -- especially good ficcers - themedicinewheel.net is one of my favorites, i'm eager to see what happens next in her world.

Here's what happens in someone's flist wrote DH - http://violet-quill.livejournal.com/329450.html#cutid1

P.S. See the IMDB link above. Angela Lansbury was born in London.
